SPRING HILL, Fla. — The Spring Hill community is mourning the loss of DeAndre Brinson, 28, who died late Thursday night, August 13, 2026, following a serious single-vehicle crash on Laura Lee Drive.

According to preliminary information from the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 11:19 p.m. near Delft Place. Brinson was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Laura Lee Drive when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve.

Authorities said the Equinox left the roadway and continued into the area where two vehicles were parked at 17812 Laura Lee Drive. The SUV struck both a Chevrolet Silverado and a Dodge Challenger, resulting in a devastating collision.

Following the impact, the Equinox caught fire. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where Brinson was found with fatal injuries. Despite the response of first responders, the 28-year-old Spring Hill man was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

No additional injuries were reported in the preliminary information released by authorities.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. Investigators are expected to continue examining the roadway, the vehicles involved and other available evidence as they work to establish the complete sequence of events leading up to the collision.
