David Majors, 44, and Alexander Majors, 15, Killed in Bringhurst House Fire

Two family members died and two others were injured after a house fire early Saturday morning in Bringhurst, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 4:10 a.m. to a residence in the 2000 block of South 500 East following reports of a working structure fire with at least one person believed to be trapped inside.

Firefighters from the Flora, Burlington, Cutler, Camden, and Delphi fire departments responded to the scene and immediately began searching the home.

Authorities said 44-year-old David Majors and 15-year-old Alexander Majors were located on the second floor of the residence. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that the two victims lived in the home.

Two other occupants were rescued from the residence and transported to the hospital for treatment. One was taken by ambulance, while the other was airlifted by helicopter. According to investigators, both survivors are currently listed in stable condition.

The tragic fire has left family members, friends, and members of the Bringhurst community mourning the loss of David and Alexander. Their deaths have brought heartbreak to loved ones as they cope with the devastating loss of two family members in a single tragedy.

Investigators are continuing to examine the scene and work to determine what caused the fire. No additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released.
