In Loving Memory of Paul and Paulette Rewitzer
HANSKA — A community is mourning the loss of two Hanska residents, Paul Rewitzer, 73, and Paulette Rewitzer, 74, who lost their lives in a tragic two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
The heartbreaking collision occurred shortly after midnight on Brown County Road 13, just north of Brown County Road 22. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the serious crash and quickly dispatched deputies to the scene.
When Brown County Deputy Erik Byro arrived, he discovered two heavily damaged vehicles—a Chevy Silverado and an Oldsmobile. The severity of the collision immediately made clear that this was a devastating incident.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as 28-year-old Shianne Lee Escobar of Hanska, was found standing outside the Oldsmobile when Deputy Byro arrived.
Inside the Oldsmobile, deputies located two occupants who were later identified as Paul Rewitzer, 73, and Paulette Rewitzer, 74. Tragically, both Paul and Paulette had died as a result of the crash.
Their deaths have left family members, friends and others in the Hanska community grieving the sudden loss of two lives. Paul and Paulette shared decades of life, memories and experiences, and their absence will undoubtedly be deeply felt by those who knew and loved them.
