In Loving Memory of Preston Korytkowski

With profound sadness, we remember Preston Korytkowski, 22, of Rockford, Michigan, whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal crash Saturday morning on Interstate 95 in Caroline County, Virginia.

According to the Virginia State Police, the collision occurred on I-95 northbound near mile marker 115 at approximately 3:40 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicates that a tractor-trailer had become disabled and was stopped on the right shoulder of the interstate. For reasons that remain under investigation, a 2011 Honda CR-V driven by Korytkowski struck the rear of the disabled tractor-trailer.

The impact proved fatal for the young Michigan man. Preston Korytkowski was pronounced deceased at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries in the collision.

As investigators continue working to understand exactly what led to the crash, a family is left facing a devastating loss and loved ones are mourning a life that ended far too soon. At just 22 years old, Preston had so much of life still ahead of him, including dreams, opportunities, experiences, and memories yet to be made.
