According to the Springfield Police Department, Robin was riding a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Kearney Street when her motorcycle collided with a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup that was turning left from eastbound Kearney Street onto northbound Patterson Avenue.

The pickup was driven by Melvin Sommerfeld, 78, of Fordland. Investigators reported that the pickup was traveling eastbound in the center lane of Kearney Street before beginning the left turn.

Robin was transported to a local hospital following the collision. Tragically, she later died from her injuries. Her family was notified of her passing.
