In Loving Memory of Clint Parrish: Remembering a Life Lost in a Tragic Macon Pedestrian Crash

With heavy hearts, family, friends, and members of the Macon, Georgia, community are mourning the loss of Clint Parrish, 30, who died early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Forsyth Road.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 5:54 a.m. when deputies were called to Forsyth Road following reports of a pedestrian being struck. When deputies arrived, they found Parrish unresponsive in the roadway.

Despite the response of emergency personnel, Parrish was pronounced dead at the scene. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley confirmed the death at the location, authorities said. Later, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the deceased pedestrian as Clint Parrish.

Parrish’s death has brought renewed attention to pedestrian safety throughout Bibb County. According to Coroner Jones, Parrish’s death marked the 14th pedestrian fatality in the county so far in 2026, highlighting the continuing dangers faced by people traveling on foot along local roads and highways.

Authorities said the driver involved in the collision left the scene without reporting the crash. The circumstances surrounding the collision, including what happened immediately before the impact and why the driver departed, remain under investigation.

For those who knew Clint Parrish, the news of his sudden passing is undoubtedly difficult to comprehend. A life that still had chapters left to be written was unexpectedly brought to an end, leaving loved ones to face the pain of a loss that came without warning.

At just 30 years old, Parrish’s passing serves as a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly a routine moment can become a devastating tragedy. Behind every name reported in a fatal crash is a person who mattered deeply to someone—a family member, friend, coworker, neighbor, or loved one whose presence brought meaning to the lives of others.

As the investigation continues, the community is left remembering Parrish and extending sympathy to everyone affected by his death. While details surrounding the collision may continue to emerge, the loss itself is already deeply felt.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have information about the crash or the vehicle involved to come forward. Investigators are urging witnesses to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with the fatality investigator. Information from witnesses could be important in helping authorities determine exactly what happened and identify the driver who left the scene.

The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision beyond the information currently available.

For Clint Parrish’s loved ones, however, the investigation is only one part of a much greater story—the story of a life remembered and a person whose absence will be felt.

May the memories shared by those who knew Clint bring comfort during this difficult time. May his family and friends find strength as they grieve, and may the community continue to remember that every pedestrian fatality represents a human life and a family forever changed.

The Roanoke Rapids community is mourning the loss of Demetrius Fleming, 38, whose death Friday has prompted an ongoing investigation and brought sorrow to his family, friends, and those who knew him.

According to Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Lawrence Wiggins, Fleming was found deceased at a home on Roanoke Avenue after emergency crews were called to the scene. Authorities said he was found connected to a ligature and was already deceased when emergency personnel arrived.

Police have emphasized that the circumstances surrounding Fleming’s death remain under investigation. Officials have described the case as an open, equivocal death investigation, meaning investigators are not yet making a final determination about exactly what happened.

Chief Wiggins urged the public not to rely on rumors or speculation, particularly as discussion about the death spread across social media.

“We’re treating this as an open, equivocal death investigation,” Wiggins said, stressing that investigators are committed to establishing the facts. He cautioned that the investigation is still in its early stages and that assumptions should not be presented as established facts.

Police have not released details about the ligature involved or provided a final determination regarding the manner of Fleming’s death. Authorities said they are considering all possibilities as investigators work to establish a complete timeline and understand the circumstances leading up to the discovery.

The case has received heightened attention because of the nature of the death and because of speculation circulating within the community. Investigators have nevertheless made clear that information shared online should not be mistaken for verified evidence.

Chief Wiggins also extended his condolences to Fleming’s family during this difficult time. Authorities said a 911 call reporting an attempted suicide was made by someone who was not physically at the scene but was close to Fleming.

Despite that initial report, police have stressed that they are not working from a strict assumption about what occurred. Investigators will rely on evidence, interviews, forensic findings, and other information gathered during the investigation before reaching a conclusion.

For Fleming’s loved ones, the uncertainty surrounding his death can make an already painful loss even more difficult. Family members and friends are left grieving a life that ended unexpectedly while awaiting answers about the circumstances surrounding his passing.

At this time, the most important message from authorities is one of patience and compassion. An investigation of this nature can take time, and conclusions should be based on verified evidence rather than social-media discussions or unconfirmed reports.

In Loving Memory of Demetrius Fleming.

May his family, friends, and everyone who knew and cared for him find strength and comfort during this heartbreaking period. May the memories he leaves behind continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him, and may his loved ones be surrounded by compassion and support as they await answers.

As the Roanoke Rapids Police Department continues its investigation, the community is reminded to allow investigators the opportunity to establish the facts. Fleming’s life should be remembered with dignity and compassion, while his family deserves privacy, respect, and understanding during this profoundly difficult time.

In Loving Memory of Joel Costa and Jonathan Welch

With heavy hearts, we remember Joel Costa, 29, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, and Jonathan Welch, 44, of Norton, Massachusetts, whose lives were tragically lost following a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Route 295 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, on August 20, 2026.

According to the Rhode Island State Police, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:31 p.m. after multiple 911 callers reported a serious multi-vehicle rollover crash on Route 295 North near the Mendon Road overpass.

When troopers arrived, they found a Dodge Ram 1500, a Hyundai Ioniq, and an Acura ADX involved in the crash. The Dodge was resting on its passenger side, while the Hyundai had come to rest several feet away. The Acura, which was in the right breakdown lane, sustained minor damage.

Both Joel and Jonathan were trapped inside their respective vehicles. The Hyundai, which was an electric vehicle, had begun to smolder, and firefighters and rescue personnel worked quickly to remove both drivers from their vehicles before the Hyundai became fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators said witnesses reported that the Hyundai had been traveling recklessly, allegedly speeding and overtaking other vehicles, including traveling through the grassy median on the southbound side of Route 295. Evidence at the scene indicated that the Hyundai veered into the median, struck the center guardrail, and entered the northbound lanes.

The Hyundai then collided head-on with the Dodge Ram operated by Jonathan Welch. The force of the collision caused the Dodge to rotate and roll onto its passenger side. The vehicles ultimately came to rest in the left lane, with the Acura also being sideswiped during the crash.

Joel Costa was pronounced dead at the scene. Jonathan Welch was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment but sadly succumbed to his injuries later.

The Rhode Island State Police reported that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, although initial information indicates that speed and loss of control by the Hyundai operator were the primary contributing factors.

Behind every traffic collision are lives that can never be replaced and families whose lives are changed forever. Joel and Jonathan were more than names in a police report. They were sons, relatives, friends, coworkers, and valued members of their communities. Their absence will be deeply felt by everyone who knew and loved them.

For Joel’s loved ones in Hyde Park and Jonathan’s family and friends in Norton, the days ahead will undoubtedly bring difficult moments of grief and remembrance. Losing someone unexpectedly can leave behind countless memories, unanswered questions, and a profound sense of emptiness.

May those who knew Joel remember him for the life he lived, the memories he created, and the moments he shared with those around him. May Jonathan’s loved ones likewise find comfort in the memories, stories, and meaningful moments that will continue to keep his presence alive in their hearts.

This tragedy is also a solemn reminder of how quickly circumstances on the road can change. A moment of speed, a loss of control, or a collision can have consequences that extend far beyond the roadway, affecting families and entire communities.

As the investigation continues, may compassion and respect surround the families of both men. May they be given strength as they navigate the difficult days ahead, and may the memories of Joel Costa and Jonathan Welch remain a source of comfort rather than only sorrow.

In loving memory of Joel Costa, 29, and Jonathan Welch, 44.

May they both be remembered with dignity, compassion, and love. May their families find strength in one another, and may the memories they created with their loved ones remain forever cherished.

  • In Loving Memory of Milton Bell III

In Loving Memory of Milton Bell III

In Loving Memory of Milton Bell III

With profound sadness, family, friends, and the Mansura, Louisiana, community are mourning the tragic loss of Milton Bell III, age 41, whose life came to an unexpected and heartbreaking end following a devastating motorcycle crash in Avoyelles Parish early Friday morning.

The news of Milton’s passing has left a deep sense of grief among those who knew and loved him. A sudden loss like this can be especially difficult to comprehend. One moment, life continues as usual, and the next, a family is faced with a reality no one was prepared to accept.

Milton was more than a name associated with a tragic accident. He was a son, a family member, a friend, a neighbor, and someone whose life was connected to many others throughout Mansura and the surrounding community. His passing leaves behind memories that will now become treasured reminders of the person he was.

At 41 years old, Milton had already lived a life filled with experiences, relationships, dreams, challenges, and accomplishments. Although his journey was cut far too short, the years he shared with others created memories that will remain with his loved ones for a lifetime.

For Milton’s family, the pain of his loss is difficult to put into words. Losing someone unexpectedly can leave behind a mixture of shock, disbelief, sadness, and countless unanswered questions. The days ahead may be filled with difficult moments as family members adjust to a world that suddenly feels different without him.

There will be familiar places that bring back memories. There will be conversations remembered, photographs revisited, and stories shared among those who loved him. There may also be moments when the reality of his absence feels especially painful.

Yet within those memories is something important: Milton’s life mattered.

His presence mattered to his family.

His friendship mattered to those who knew him.

His life mattered to his community.

And his memory will continue to matter long after this difficult moment has passed.

For friends, the loss of Milton may bring memories of time spent together, laughter shared, conversations held, and experiences that cannot be repeated. Friendships are built through countless moments, many of which may seem ordinary when they happen but become priceless after a friend is gone.

Those memories will now serve as part of Milton’s lasting legacy.

The Mansura community is also feeling this loss. Communities are made stronger by the people who contribute to them, form relationships within them, and become familiar faces in everyday life. When someone passes away unexpectedly, the loss is felt beyond the immediate family. It reaches friends, neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances, and others who knew the person or knew the people who loved them.

The circumstances surrounding Milton’s death make this loss especially heartbreaking. Motorcycle crashes can happen suddenly, leaving families and communities struggling to understand how someone so loved could be gone in an instant. While the accident represents the tragic circumstances of his passing, it should never be allowed to overshadow the life Milton lived.

He was a person with a story.

He was someone who shared life with others.

He was someone whose presence created memories.

And he deserves to be remembered for all that he was—not simply for the way his life ended.

As family and friends mourn, may they find comfort in coming together and supporting one another. Grief can feel overwhelming, but shared memories can provide a sense of connection and strength.

Sometimes, the greatest comfort comes from simply telling stories.

    Remembering the funny moments.

    Talking about the good times.

    Looking through old photographs.

    Speaking his name.

Sharing the things that made Milton unique.

These are the ways a person’s memory continues to live.

The pain of losing someone does not disappear quickly, and it does not follow a schedule. There may be difficult days, quiet moments, and unexpected reminders that bring the loss back with great intensity. But with time, the memories that initially bring tears can also become a source of comfort.

Milton’s loved ones will carry those memories with them.

    They will remember his presence.

They will remember the moments they shared.

They will remember the person behind the photographs and the stories.

And they will continue to carry a part of him forward.

His passing is a reminder of how precious and unpredictable life can be. It reminds us not to take our loved ones for granted, to cherish the time we have together, and to tell the people we care about how much they mean to us.

For those mourning Milton, may this difficult period be surrounded by compassion and understanding. May family and friends continue to support one another through the days ahead. May the community come together to offer comfort, kindness, and strength to those who are grieving.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Milton’s family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.

May they find peace in the memories they shared with him.

May they find strength in one another.

May the love surrounding them help them through the darkest days.

And may Milton’s memory remain a source of comfort and inspiration for years to come.

Although his life ended far too soon, the impact of his life does not end with his passing. The memories he created will continue to exist in the hearts of those who knew him. His story will be remembered through the people he loved and the people who loved him.

A life may come to an end, but love does not.

    Memories do not.

The bond between loved ones does not simply disappear.

Milton Bell III will forever remain part of the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

    Rest peacefully, Milton.

May you be remembered not only with tears, but also with smiles for the moments of happiness you gave to others.

May your family find comfort in knowing how deeply you were loved.

May your friends continue to share the memories that made your life special.

And may the Mansura community remember you with compassion, dignity, and respect.

    Gone too soon.
    Deeply loved.
    Forever remembered.
    Never forgotten.

In loving memory of Milton Bell III, age 41.
