In Loving Memory of Andrew Lee: 27-Year-Old Walhalla Man Dies in Drayton-Area Rollover Crash

DRAYTON, N.D. — The community is mourning the loss of Andrew Lee, 27, of Walhalla, North Dakota, who died Friday, August 21, 2026, following a single-vehicle rollover crash near Drayton.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred shortly after 12:20 p.m. on Pembina County Road 3, north of Drayton. Lee was traveling westbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse when the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and subsequently left the roadway.

Investigators said the vehicle then overcorrected, causing it to rotate and cross back over the roadway. It struck a roadway approach before overturning.

Lee was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The news of Lee’s death has brought sorrow to those who knew him, as a young life was suddenly and tragically cut short. At just 27 years old, Andrew had many years ahead of him, and his passing leaves behind family members, friends and others whose lives he touched.
