Preliminary information from police indicates that a pickup truck driven by a man from Waterloo was traveling eastbound on County House Road. The pickup truck was attempting to turn onto Bauer Road when it collided with a motorcycle traveling westbound on County House Road.

The motorcycle was being operated by Roeland, who was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision.

Roeland suffered serious injuries in the crash. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital for treatment, but despite medical efforts, he later died from the injuries he sustained.
