Today, we remember Bei Matty, affectionately known as “Up Tha Price,” whose life was tragically cut short following a serious traffic collision on Carmichael Road, in the vicinity of South West Plaza.
The news of his passing has brought sadness to those who knew him, as a life that meant something to family, friends, and loved ones has been taken far too soon.
According to preliminary information released by police, shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, officers were notified of a serious traffic collision on Carmichael Road. Police responded to the scene, where they discovered a blue Honda Fit that had sustained extensive damage.
Four unidentified male occupants were reportedly trapped inside the vehicle.
The vehicle had reportedly collided with a fence belonging to a nearby business establishment before continuing into a tree on the northern side of the roadway. The severity of the impact left the vehicle heavily damaged and required the immediate response of emergency personnel.
🚒 Fire Services personnel responded and worked to safely extract the occupants from the vehicle. Emergency Medical Services then transported the men to hospital, where they were admitted in serious condition.
As traffic investigators continued their work and later visited the hospital, medical personnel informed them that the adult male driver had succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care.
That adult male was Bei Matty, also known as “Up Tha Price.”
