In Loving Memory of Evan Woodrow-Fischer
With deep sadness, we remember Evan Woodrow-Fischer, 24, of Fargo, North Dakota, whose life was tragically taken on August 27, 2026.
Evan’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how precious and fragile life can be. At only 24 years old, he had so much life ahead of him, so many experiences still waiting to be lived, and so many memories yet to be created with the people who loved him.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred near 90th Avenue North and 50th Street. Investigators believe Evan was traveling eastbound on 90th Avenue North when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, entered the north ditch, traveled through brush and between two trees, crossed the Buffalo River, and ultimately struck a tree on the riverbank.
Authorities believe speed was a contributing factor, and the investigation remains ongoing.
While the circumstances of the accident are part of Evan’s story, they do not define the person he was. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for the life he lived, the memories he created, and the place he held in the hearts of others.
Our deepest condolences go out to Evan’s family, friends, and everyone mourning this devastating loss. May they find strength in one another and comfort in the memories they shared with him.
Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Evan. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
