In Loving Memory of Nacole Bartolet

FREMONT, Ohio — August 17, 2026 — With heavy hearts, family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the loss of Nacole Bartolet, 20, of Whitehouse, who died following a serious two-vehicle crash in Ballville Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Fremont Post, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:32 p.m. Monday, August 17, at the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and State Route 53. The crash involved a 2004 Saturn ION and a 2019 GMC Sierra.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the Saturn ION, operated by 23-year-old Dylon Sinley of Seville, was traveling northbound on State Route 53. Investigators said Sinley failed to yield while making a left turn and was struck by the GMC Sierra, which was traveling southbound.

Nacole Bartolet was a passenger in the Saturn. Despite emergency response efforts, she sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her death has brought profound sadness to those who knew and loved her, leaving family and friends to face the difficult days ahead without her presence.

Also traveling in the Saturn was 22-year-old Leia McIntire of Wooster, who sustained serious injuries. McIntire and Sinley were transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo for treatment.

The GMC Sierra was operated by 59-year-old Angela Ebbing of Troy. Her passenger, 64-year-old Michael Ebbing, also of Troy, was also injured in the collision. Both were transported to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

For those who knew Nacole, her passing represents far more than the loss reported in a traffic investigation. She was a young woman whose life was still unfolding, with years of possibilities and memories ahead of her.
