In Loving Memory of Ronnie Berger
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The community is mourning the loss of 59-year-old Ronnie Berger, who died following a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Derby Road and Infirmary Road on Friday, August 14, 2026.
According to information released by the Montgomery County Coroner, Berger was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 6:48 a.m. His death has brought sorrow to those who knew him and has left family, friends, and loved ones facing the difficult days that follow an unexpected loss.
The crash remains under investigation. Preliminary information indicates that the collision involved a Honda CR-V operated by Berger and a Dodge Caravan. Investigators believe the crash occurred when the Caravan struck the Honda CR-V, which preliminary findings indicate had failed to yield at the intersection.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after the collision, where they found Berger and the other involved driver. Despite the response of emergency personnel, Berger could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening. No further information about that driver’s condition was immediately available.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being examined by authorities. Investigators will work to establish the sequence of events leading up to the collision and determine all relevant factors involved. As with any ongoing crash investigation, the preliminary findings may be subject to change as additional information becomes available.
For Berger’s family and friends, however, the investigation is only one part of a much larger tragedy. Behind the official reports and road closures is the loss of a person whose life was meaningful to those around him.
A sudden death can leave loved ones struggling with disbelief, unanswered questions, and the painful reality of having to say goodbye far sooner than expected. Ronnie Berger’s passing is a reminder of how quickly an ordinary morning can change and how deeply a loss can affect a family and community.
At 59 years old, Berger had spent decades building memories, relationships, and connections with the people around him. Those memories now become an important part of the legacy he leaves behind. While the circumstances of his final moments were tragic, they do not define the entirety of his life. He will be remembered for the moments he shared with others, the relationships he formed, and the place he held in the lives of those who cared about him.
As the investigation into the August 14 crash continues, loved ones are left to grieve Ronnie Berger and remember the life he lived. During such a difficult time, condolences and support from friends, neighbors, and members of the wider community can provide comfort to those facing the pain of his loss.
May Ronnie Berger be remembered with love and respect. May his family and friends find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with him, and may his life continue to be remembered by all who knew and cared for him.
Rest in peace, Ronnie Berger. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
